Biking has been good to me. My wife and kids, singing, walking, swimming, resistance training, my work with non-profits, including starting and running a couple, my advocacy work for individuals with disabilities have also been good for me.
This year has seen physical problems sharply limit my bicycling, and right now I am taking a break from my physical therapy, which is helping.
My wife and I greatly enjoy riding together. I will never, ever again be concerned with how far or how fast I ride. Simply bicycling at my own speed and the distances that feel comfortable and enjoyable is where I am at right now.
So, as in all things - for me, balance and moderation.
