This morning I commuted for the first time this week. I broke a spoke last Sunday and did not have the time to fix it until yesterday evening. Mind you, I've never done that before, so it took me some consideration and effort and a couple of new toys in my toolbox. But I fixed it!!

Took it easy this morning, "listening" to my rear wheel to find out how it's holding up. It seems and feels true enough, we'll see how long it lasts. The weather was spectacular, a beautiful late summer morning, warm and very calm. I took the "scenic" route by the sea and enjoyed every meter of it.

I feel so good about being able to fix that spoke. Yes, I know it's just one spoke, no big deal to most of you guys, but this is - no, this WAS one of the mechanical tasks I have not dared to tackle. MichaelW and Calvin Jones, thanks for answering my "Spokes"-question in Bicycle Mechanics. Ride on!
