Unless I've missed something (quite possible, as I only skimmed the thread) an alternative and equivalent title would be 'There's no cold and wet weather, only bad clothing'?

Is that the theme?

Personally, I have clothing that can efficiently neutralise sub-zero rain - though that's more motorbike gear than pedal cycle gear.

But for 46 C degrees, 95 % humidity cycling, of which I enjoy July to October and have got used to it, I'm not sure that there's good clothing to neutralise - but I still favour merino wool soaked with cool water to give me an evaporative fridge
