Don't do it with Hillbasher, he lies!...He kept telling me that a friend (yeeeeeah, a friend?) had told him once you get past the gate, it eases up and the climbing is pretty much done. I thought it was pretty much the same the entire way, never leveled out like "A FRIEND" said it would!

Really, pretty nice ride. I was just lost since it was my first time. I was thinking that we were never going to reach the CL turnoff. Next thing I know, we are there! Then I decided it wasn't that bad. I'm sure it's better the second time since I'll know a little more about the climb. I was really shocked that it got pretty warm. The bottom was a cold mtn chill so we wore leg and upper body cover. Half mile up, we were tearing off layers. Another half mile, more layers!
