Thanks for the video Beanz! I've never ridden up that way, but have ridden the descent after doing the climb from La Canada Flintridge, up the 2 all the way to the barrier at the 39, i.e. before starting the climb to Dawson Saddle.
It looks like you took the 39 up to Crystal Lake and then rode back the same way.

Yup, out and back. I've never been that way before so I wanted to see what it was like before going any further or starting from Encanto.
