So i took a ride today on Henry Hudson drive in NJ. There were a few sketchy spots, and i slid on one of them. My left knee is hurting but it should be okay. Open coming home & doing some inspections, this is what i saw on the tob tube. The bike is a 2007 six13, and its TT contains carbon glued by epoxy to aluminum. The scratch on the TT is on the aluminum portion. For now, it looks like a purely clearcoat issue. What do you guys think? & what do i do to fix up clearcoats? I know there were issues with older iterations of the six13 where the epoxy was compromised when sweat dissolved the clearcoat.
