well, the HH is closed past exit 1 of the palisades parkway, but my friend & i ventured ahead anyway. however, the spot past the exit 1 climb (downhill portion) is quite sketchy. there were other icy spots, but where i fell was near the large waterfall, where the entire road was iced over. the ride was excellent otherwise. we went up to piermont & there were quite a few people there. i didn't find the cycling speed that i lost along 9W though
btw, given your nutley location, are you an angry scientist at Roche?
No, no Roche for me, though that place is huuge. i try and ride HH at least once a week when the weather is favorable, glad you didnt get too banged up out there, the bike looks like it should be OK too.
