Bikes: 1986 Alan Record Carbonio, 1985 Vitus Plus Carbone 7, 1984 Peugeot PSV, 1972 Line Seeker, 1986(est.) Medici Aerodynamic (Project), 1985(est.) Peugeot PY10FC

What's the C&V opinion on those "Droop Snoot" SMP saddles??

At first glance it seems to be another bad hit on bicycle aesthetics again driven by otherwise very sensible functional reasons as had back sloping top tubes and ergonomic bars, brifters and stems on post mid 80's/90's bikes.
As a C&Ver, I can make concessions to adapting to newer designed things on my bike such as pedals (the Look Keo Classics on my bikes today) and saddles, but the SMP design seems a bit harder to take.
I recently did noticea for sale at EBay a certain "Dual" saddle (by Selle italia in the 90's??) that might have been trying to address the same issues as the SMP by having a nose that seems to have provision to step down from the back half of the saddle. have anyone here had any experience with the "Dual"?? Could it maybe give an alternative to the SMP "Droop Snoots".
