The Selle Italia Dual saddles were early attempts for a triathlon/TT saddle that allowed the user to get a more aero position when riding on the aero bars. A bit different theory than the SMP. Saddles are really such a subjective thing and what works for someone might not for another and is one of those places that functionality and comfort should always trump aesthetics...
