Continental Traffic...for tires?

I am looking for new tires for my bad weather/ trail runner commuter. The commute is a mix of MUP and road. However on the way home I pass by a few singletrack trails and want more traction than smoothies. Also I use this bike when it snows.

Knowing that I have been looking at tires, something with lower rolling resistance then current ( basic FireXC Panaracers) and longer lasting (Harder compound) rubber. However I still want to keep my traction for mud, dirt, etc.

I was looking at

in REI yesterday and they seem pretty good, however I was hoping others might have experiance.

Thanks
