End bike lanes 100 feet before the crosswalks, as MUTCD specifies.

Just past the crosswalks, a sharrow in each entrance to the roundabout, with the "Full Lane" signage, and a sharrow in the center of the lane between each of the entries to the roundabout.

Cyclists who prefer the path can still use it.

Those riding in the street at least have signage reminding motorists it's legal.

Would you need to do that every time you put in a roundabout? Probably not -- they're hazardous because they're unfamiliar to most American drivers. Once you reach some level of familiarity, drivers should already know that bikes belong in the lane.
