So, I'm building up a nice bike for my gf. A Van Dessel Rivet. Ultegra components. Lamo Bontrager wheels that I have lying around until we can get something nice. Here's the issue...

She's not going to race the bike...it'll be for group rides, training rides, charity rides, leisure, stuff like that. I'm looking for tires and tubes that have decent puncture/flat resistance, good wear, and very good traction (maybe with a teeny tiny tread patter to grip a tiny bit against road grit/dust/sand). But it's a nice bike...I don't want some sort of massive mountain or touring tire.

Any suggestions?
