Look at the Lemond Sarthe. clasic steel with Veloce and Bontrager components. I bought one for $1500. Also the Buenas Aires Lemond has the same components but the carbon fiber / steel "spline" frame. There is about a $500 difference in the retail price. Both have great wheel sets (Bontrager Race Lite). The reason the WS is upgraded is because that WS will use a Campy hub. (my understanding anyway). To me this combination is a great value.
