Just buy what you need when you need it so you don't spend a bunch of money for tools and end up with some you never use! Also some non bike specific tools will work on bikes thus you can get Craftsman tools for some of your tools and have the convience of being able to take them back to Sears for a no hassle return in case of failure. But I agree with others that the Park brand seem to be the best in the bike specific tool arena; but outside that Craftsman are made way superior to Park and you can get a 12" adjustable wrenchs, Allen wrenchs, wire cutters, tacx wrenchs, pliers phillips and slotted screwdrivers etc all from Sears.
