The Modolo Speedy brakes got a bad rap due to those horrid brake-pads. Made worse by Modolo bragging about their 'sintered brake-pads.' We knew to pull them immediately and replaced 'em with Mathauser's. But the damage was done - people laughed at my gold Modolo Speedy brakes. Which were every bit as good as the Campagnolo Records of the day - maybe better. But Modolo had shot themselves in the foot.

I still have a set of those 'sintered' pads - want to buy them? LOL!
