The other thing I do with yogurt is add fiber like granola or some other cereal. Very filling and seems to even out the carb absorption. When I was in Munich, my favorite coffee shop had a dish called "Vital Breakfast". It was plain yogurt mixed with granola and fruit. It was filling to the point where I didn't need a large lunch.
