I've got a Force gruppo and run 11-23 cassette. With fine tuning and proper FD trim adjustment, I only get chain rub when cross chaining 39 with 11. Even then, it's only a wee bit and who would use that gear combination anyway? My new Force gruppo works great and I can't notice any difference with the Red gruppo on another of my bikes. As someone else said herein, any of the major component manufacturers' best offerings work great. I run Campagnolo Record, Shimano Ultegra and DA and SRAM Red and Force on various bikes and love them all.
