Took the MUP today. It was below freezing all night, and just turned 32F/0C when I left the house, so I figured the snow would be set up well and not mashed potato-like.
It was rough and slow going, but I stuck with it instead of bailing onto roads. I discovered the last 3 miles or so had been plowed. I think the power company does it for line inspections. Studs were good to have, but it was mostly clear and easy-going. I passed a runner.
I heard wild turkeys clucking in the woods in our neighborhood, too.
