I believe we have this same model, or one very similar, in my brother in law's garage. It works passably well in storing a 29-lb. MTB up off the floor; with a normal 8' ceiling height, you can park the front end of most sedans and small pickups under it. The use of cheap pulleys and thin nylon line means there's a lot of friction in the system, and raising and lowering the bike is a two-handed operation and takes a bit of work. In theory, it should lift and lower both ends of the bike at the same time; in practice, ours rarely does. I always end up having to 'help' the bike go up or down as it always starts slanting. I don't mind these shortfalls because this is a bike I only use when visiting family, but in daily use it would be frustrating and I'd look for a better quality bike lift.
