I usually carry Zefal Magnum bottles which hold 34 ounces. On a hot day in the humid days of summer I can go through a bottle in 60 - 90 minutes. For 40 - 60 Miles, that would be 2 full bottles. I may stop for a refill on longer loops of 60 - 80 miles.
