I'm pretty new to cycling and have an old Cannondale that's been stored away for many years. Doing a little research, according to the Serial # (6 54 0892 0647), it's a '92 model with RX100 components. Does anybody know how I can tell what model it is? There's nothing on it that states the model. I can post a picture if that will help.

Also, is this bike ok for me getting started out? It probably needs a little tuneup and cleaning, but I think it's mechanically sound. Are there any upgrades that I should do to it to get it up to speed? I'm assuming that fixing this one up a little will be cheaper than buying a new or used entry level bike, right?
