I think that my bike is a model 300 with a 1940 date code... it was a middle of the road model and having seen double top tube models (my friend has one) know that mine was customized as the second tube is brazed / welded rather than lugged as it would be if it was a factory built bike.

The double tt models are freakishly heavy and am sure they were made with extra thick gaspipe... I weighed my frame when I had it stripped and it was 5 pounds with the bb cups in place. The brazing work was also very well done which speaks to CCM's good quality standards in the pre-war era.

I come across a fair number of old CCM's here and am looking to build up a few more in a similar manner.
