What may seem like "a little bit more" to you, can be a lot to someone like the OP who said that he's "on a really tight budget." Fact is, the Moto Team Track is more than twice as much as the Kilo TT, or $446 more to be precise. Heck, I just spent more than that on a new set of track wheels for this season, but I'm not just beginning track racing and I'm certainly not on a tight budget. Also, don't forget that the OP is going to have other expenses for various cogs, chainrings, right bar and stem, tools, maybe pedals and shoes etc. I'd rather see someone just get on the track and start racing, and then see if they really want to stick with it before they invest a lot in equipment. Fact is, at the entry level it just is not going to matter; I see these newbies coming out on whatever cool big buck hardware, only to get their butts kicked by riders on track rental bikes. After a few races they are gone, and the rental bike riders show up the next season on some good quality track specific hardware like the Team Track.
