No hip replacement yet but 2 plates, 8 screws, and 2 pins in my leg, all Ti. I saw a thing the other night about airline security and the current inablility to detect Ti going thru the gizmo at the ariport.
I hope it stays that way or at least if they start detecting it they can do it in such a way that they can see it is from an operation - pin, replacement hip etc. I opted for titanium for the pins in my femur neck because they wouldn't be detected even though there was a slight strength advantage to go with stainless.
