This might be a long drive (or a really long ride) for you, but MadDuck in Grapevine is great. The guys there are really thorough, affordable, and everytime I go in there people are hanging out and talking bikes.

Cool shop. Plus they carry some "boutique" bike brands that you dont see everywhere else. Cool to browse/dream.
