$1100 for a new old stock 1990-91 Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra frameset. I had to dip into my savings to buy it, but it was totally worth it. It was still in its original factory packaging, including Eddy Merckx branded packing tape, and original GitaUSA import tag. Going to build it up with new old stock early 2000s Campagnolo Chorus.
I am also restoring a 1971 Mercian, currently getting repaired and repainted at Mercian right now. Once everything is said and done, its likely I will have spent close to $1000 on all the period correct parts, getting wheels built, etc. Totally worth it. Its not about the money, its about the journey and the ride, y'all.
