The "value" of your bike is whatever the market will bare. I think that people shop for bikes by what will suit a particular need and / or price range. If your bike fits into a customers criteria you'll have just as good a chance no matter what the brand is. The interesting thing about bikes is that "Brand" only refers to the frame and geometry. The components however are the same brands all over the world and are generally known to most bike shoppers especially ones that know what a touring bike is in the first place.
