Im making slow progress but I am getting there on my project. I have removed the front and rear derailers all the gear shifters and I have also removed the cassette with one chain whip and the existing chain clamped in a vice My conversion kit will arrive over the next couple of days so I am looking forward to having a play around with that as well.

I have a question however. I would like to remove the inner chain ring. To do so I need to remove one of the cranks. But I cant get it off. I googled and read some stuff and it seems I need a crank extractor? Is this correct? I have some pictures so you can see what I mean.







Any advice?
