I recently bought the
Terry Liberator Y (non-gel version). So far it has proven to be a real improvement over the "wide load" sprung saddle that came with my Schwinn.
I was afraid to go with a narrower saddle due to my "Clyde" status but it's been worth it; the chafing I used to experience on my inner thighs is gone and I seem to have more power on my pedal strokes. This saddle can be had on Terry's website for $56 which seems a good price IMO.
God's kindness to us all is that our sit bones remain the same no matter how big our butts get. So, no matter how much is hanging over the sides of the saddle, we can feel our sit bones and know that inside all of us is a skinny man doing all the work.
