Mid 30sF and a bit of a headwind this morning. Dry though.
I needed outriggers for the ride home yesterday. Inches-deep standing water in a few places. Not really a problem though. I just went slowly to avoid soaking my feet. Pouring rain. Most of the MUP snow and ice was gone this morning. Unfortunately, what ice is left is really treacherous, even with studs.
Bizarre cager interaction leaving work yesterday, too. I got to a red light. No cars in sight on my road, but lots of cross traffic, so I zipped over and clicked the pedestrian crossing button. I rode back into the street to wait for the light to turn. As I was doing this, a woman was approaching on my street, maybe 50 yards away at this point, and she lays on the horn for some reason. I position myself normally, then turn around and look at her as she stops behind me. She's mouthing something. I give her a wry smile and wave her around me. She's got her right turn signal on and I've left lots of room for right turning traffic. She keeps mouthing something like "no" or "go", scowling and gesticulating. I wave her through again, but she just sits there like the Queen of Dorks doing nothing. I just turned back around to face forward and shook my head. The light turned green a few seconds later, and we parted ways.
