Going to Olympia for transportation Advocacy Day!!
I intend to ride to the Amtrak station and take the train to Olympia to ride and rally at transportation advocacy day tomorrow.
I booked a hook on the train, and am riding to the capitol for general mucky-muck and a sit down with my state legislator. Going to wear the houndstooth blazer and focus on a two item agenda -
Support for the vulnerable user bill, and that cost/benefit analysis of transportation funding consider associated public health and environmental costs.
Going to reread Pucher's powerpoint presentation to New York stakeholders, to see if I can glean some good factoids to drop about the costs of motoring versus active transportation.
Oh, and the Thunderhead alliance report on investment in active transportation.
