On a similar note, it infuriates me that SO many "Fixie specific" shoes can't even be bothered to be able to stick in a 2-bolt cleat. I have had a set of Crank Bros Candies sitting around for 6 months just waiting for the right shoes to come along.
There are lots of SPD shoes out there that don't look THAT bad... there is still way fewer toe clip specific rubber soled shoes with sole stiff enough for cycling than there are half way decent looking SPD shoes.
