Most of DFW requires that you ride rather vehicularly.

I would do something like this:
Carolyn to WRL

A few points to note for a less stressful ride :
Point B - Continue West in the alley and pick back up at Point C.

Point D - This is actually cutting through the DART station/movie theater parking lot.

Point E - Don't turn onto Garland Rd. There is a break in the bushes at the bus stop sign that will get you onto Gaston Pkwy.

Point F - Cut through the church parking lot to avoid the traffic light.
