I've been riding (occasionally) a set of early 70s high flange "drilliumed" campy track hubs with no issues, so far. I believe mine were both factory drilled (schwinn) and correctly sized for standard spokes. The alternate holes are slightly larger, originally intended for tandom use I suppose.
