Bikes: Pacific Reach, Strida

Now that I've been riding the Reach for a while, I'm officially in love with small wheels! This bike is so much fun to ride. I feel a lot more confident on it than I do on my old bike, though I'm not entirely sure why. And I can carry it onto the train with one arm, even with groceries in the panniers.

I decided to swap the bars for some truly flat bars so I'd sit just a little less upright, and swiped the ergonomic grips from my other bike. I might rob my old bike of its pedals too. And I added lights and a nice bar-end mirror that I had sitting around in a bin of motorcycle parts. Warm Planet fitted the fenders for me; there's not a lot of clearance but they were able to make it work without modifying them. I was going to have them do a couple of other things too, but they suggested solutions that were free instead. I am really impressed with this shop.

I do notice that the Reach seems to have more rolling resistance than my other bike. On the big bike I can coast for a long way, but the Reach slows significantly within a few seconds. Is that normal for folding bikes?
