I would also recommend motor oil thinned with kerosene, mineral spirits, or paint thinner (not lacquer thinner). Three parts thinner to one part motor oil would be good during the rainy season. During the dry season when the roads are dusty a thinner solution may attract less dirt. Of course you could adjust these portions according to the results.
