You asked a question, you received the answer. Sorry that it doesn't satisfy you.
Wearing a baseball cap is inadequate for stopping a pitched baseball, whereas baseball batting helmets are used for that purpose. A bicycle helmet provides much, much more protection than a baseball cap. Would you rather be hit by a pitched baseball wearing a baseball cap, or a bicycling helmet?
