I can see how that would work. Teasing that effect out of injury data would be well-nigh impossible, though.
You brought up child seats as if their construction and purpose is somehow related to a bicycle helmet. I simply pointed out that they are not infallible either, much like bicycle helmets (though I'd argue that a child seat does more of what it's assumed to do than a bicycle helmet).
I was just pointing out that EPS foam is a lot more effective in cushioning blows than calling it "cheap styrofoam" implies.
That's relevant because most bike helmets are made from EPS foam.
