So I got fitted on January 20
As some know I went and got a fitting on January 20. I didn't want to post anything until I had an opportunity for a couple rides and a race. I'm no good at writing reviews but here goes.
Before: I've been on this bike for about 3.5 years. I have never had a fitting. I always thought the bike felt OK but no great. I would suffer from occasional hand and foot numbness. When I got the bike, I tried to mimic the fit on my track bike which I suppose was not the best idea.
The fit: The fit last about an hour. I went to Nate Loyal in Santa Monica and it was great. He was very friendly and talks to you through the whole process. He told me at the end he talks to keep you comfortable and not think about the fitting. He had me on and off the bike about 8-10 times as he made measurements and adjustments. In the end, my saddle went up about 1/3 inch, went forward maybe 1/8 inch, right pedal got a "Q Factor" spacer, stem received a 1/2 inch space to bring it up a bit, and both cleats got a shim and repositioning. He gave me some really good pointers as well about my riding position.
After: Well I've done 70 or so miles since the fitting. Hand and foot numbness are GONE. Part of it was probably the fit and part was his guidance on some bad habits I had. I didn't think I'd be keen on the new saddle position but it feels really great. My left cleat adjustment was weird at first. I had developed the habit over the years of having my heel out which resulted in some poor form. The new feel is that my lower leg is twisted as we are trying to correct my poos positioning. Didn't like it at first but after my race today it actually felt great.
Overall, very happy with the fit. I've been riding 10 years so this was long overdue.

Edit: Forgot to mention I'm looking for a new frame this years. I had my eye on several so I brought him the list. Turns out the frame I wanted, Spook Skeletor, is what he recommended based on geo. Sweet!
