which was my point about posting that shot. Look at the gears this person is running, the tension of the chain and the stretch of the RD. While not 100% criss-cross, pretty darn close. You just do not use a 53 with your second biggest rear cog, unless you want things to break or wear down. That's what the 39 up front is for.
It's on the third largest rear cog, and the only thing that isn't too good in that shot (besides the .jpg artifacts) is the disgusting tread of the Conti Gatorskins.
