I just saw mixte rims on ebay today for the first time. Never heard of them. Anyone ever use them? I like the idea, but I wonder how well they really work. I imagine after you get tubular glue on them, getting a clincher tire off could be a problem.
I have a set built up here. They seem fine, but the anodized brake surface doesn't help braking response. I've read warnings that high pressure tires can blow off the rims, but I run Contis at 100+psi on them without problems. I haven't tried them with tubulars yet, though.
