2010 Rival has zero loss and reach adjustability; I don't think my Force has those features. I'm thinking of running a compact road crankset and am not sure of what benefit the 2010 Rival trim position on the big ring would give me. If this sounds wrong, please let me know. That's way too much. You can get better for less. Even performance has 2009 rival shifters (yes, these are better than 2008 force) for much less:
