Sorry for the confusiion . The "hop" is lateral, not a bump in the rim, but left to right. You can see the wheel get closer to the brake pad at the spot of the bad spoke. There is no dent.

I took it back to the LBS today, they put the nipple back on with some blue loctite. They said if it pop's loose again they would need to order a new nipple and spoke from Specialized. The wheel doesn't show any damage and the spoke looks fine. They had it back together and true in about 10 minutes. We'll see.

I'm going to get them to order a new spoke and nipple anyway since I don't have much faith that it'll hold up over time.
