Picture if you will several PJ's sitting around the day room at Lackland AFB, circa 1984. Burly men, lean men, swimmers, boxers, runners, cyclists. All Air Force pararescue recruits.
Now picture a shared can of Barbasol, some double-bladed razors, MTV, and not a word said during the entire process. During the water portion of our stay at Lackland, if you were in the water with hair on your body, the cadres would rip it out.
Now, the legs get shaved, and the back waxed, and I don't give two blanks about what anyone thinks. Feels good. Times change.
But no one touches the chest.
Just curious, when did you take the physical portion (swim, run, etc) of the PJ test? I took it in late Jan of 1984 and past with no problem. But because I wore glasses it disqualified me from parachuting. So I ended up being an aircraft maintainer for 26 years and officially retired Feb 1st.
