I also use look delta-based pedals. I have both the performance "forte" ones and the dura-ace PD-7401 and the consensus is the old dura-ace ones are best. Keep your eye on Ebay and you can probably find a set in good condition for about 20 bucks.

I eventually plan to upgrade to 21st century pedals, but I like having one set of shoes that I can use for all my bikes (road, SS/commuter, recumbent) and buying several sets of new pedals is expensive.
