I didn't think a sport biker was worth his salt if he/she could not figure out the art of "overshifting" to get to the next higher gear...without overshifting...So, I've avoided the indexed shifting scene since it started popping up in the mid 80's.
Frankly, I think it's just denial on my part or just feeling bad about "wasting" a skill I finally mastered in the for a "shift it and forget it" approach to biking.
