I worked at a Raleigh shop in 1970, I owned a Raleigh Pro at 16 (I wish I still had that bike) but I learned at that same shop that Campagnolo make the best bike components.
There is that style and flair. And in those days the innovation, I remember that Raleigh Pro had campy quick releases while my friends bikes had big wing nuts on their bikes, the seat post was the NR model with the micro adjustment while my friends bikes had stamped steel parts. In those days the italians were the leaders in cycling technology.
