My daughters have a synchronized swim meet later this month in Annandale, Va (at the Audrey Moore Rec Center at Wakefield Park, to be exact), and although I am a proud father, if the weather is reasonable I am hoping to sneak away for about 2 hours and do a quick 40ish mile ride.

Any suggestions for an out and back from there and/or loop that is smooth and relatively safe? I don't like MUPs.

I don't mind doing a 5-10 mile loop a few times. Hills are ok.
