Yeah, digging a big-ass SLR out of the pannier/bag every time you want to shoot a picture doesn't seem practical. It doesn't necessarily have to fit in a pocket, if it fits in a handlebar bag it'd be enough. I'd also worry about sweat and moisture when carrying a camera in my jersey pocket. So, event though it's slightly larger the G90 looks like a better choice indeed.
