Trek 820 says on website it's steel. picking up the frame with all components but sans wheels, I would believe it. Heavy. I have a chance to adopt another orphan bike. I would only be keeping the frame. I don't plan on making anything special out of it but I thought a steel frame might make a good frankenstein ride, misc parts and the ability to bash around with out fear. What would you do? Take it??? Bike is three years old, not my primary bike if that changes the equation any.
